Hegemony Origins - WeWriMo 2022 Prompts

In January of 2022, Lauren (Ren Elisabeth) suggested we enter into a writing challenge for the month of February. Both of us had attempted NaNoWriMo 2021 and enjoyed the accountability/habit of daily writing, but didn't necessarily want to write a big project. So we compiled a list of daily writing prompts, each just a few word concept or jumping off point with which to make short stories. 28 days in February = 28 different stories.

I immediately came up with the added challenge of setting all of my stories within a shared universe. This was foolish, given some of the prompts. But, I don't regret it. Hegemony was the shared universe of all of the stories and I built it as I wrote each day, compiling lists of races and planets. Each prompt was a unique challenge and I tried different narrative styles that pushed my comfort zone.

So that's where you come in! Within this blog are the original 28 stories from WeWrimo2022, as well as my ongoing list of people and places within Hegemony space.
